COMMERCE AND TRADE SECTION
The Commerce section  of the Consulate General of Pakistan at Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia  is responsible for promotion/ facilitation of exports of Pakistan including investment in Pakistan. Its areas
of jurisdiction are Western Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia including Jeddah, Madinah, Yanbu, Makkah, Taif, Abha and Najran. The Trade Division
is representative office of Ministry of Commerce and works in close coordination with the Trade Development Authority, Board of Investment - Chambers and Associations in Pakistan.

INVESTMENT POLICY OF PAKISTAN
Pakistan's Investment Policy has been formulated to create an investor- friendly environment, with a
focus on further opening up the economy and marketing the potential for direct foreign investment. The essence of the policy is to strengthen Pakistan's competitiveness by improving the policy regime, offering fiscal and tariff relief and providing comprehensive facilitation services. This Commerce and Trade Office also offers the following services:

  • Matchmaking services for intending importers/ investors.
  • Providing up-to-date trade, investment and tariff policies of Pakistan
  • Collecting trade data and market intelligence and sent it to Pakistan whenever required
  • Facilitating Pakistan pavilion to participate in exhibitions and Pakistan delegation to extend their business pursuits in Saudi Arabia.
  • Providing the required assistance to businessmen in  Saudi Arabia  to invest in/ trade with Pakistan and visit the desired exhibitions
  • Answering trade enquiries from Saudi Arabia  and Pakistan businessmen
  • Any activity to be supported or undertaken which directly or indirectly have bearings on trade/ business promotion of Pakistan
