Introduction
The Consular Section of the Consulate General of Pakistan, Jeddah provides a bouquet of consular services to both resident and non-resident Pakistanis. These include:

Issuance of Passports
The Consular Section issues both Manual and Machine Readable Passports. The ordinary manual passports are issued in seven days time whereas the urgent passports are issued on the same day. The Machine Readable Passports are also processed through the Consular Section. Ordinary Machine Readable Passports are delivered in 12 days time whereas the urgent Machine Readable Passports are delivered after five days.

Registration and Endorsement of Children
The new borns are endorsed on mothers’ passports. In cases where mother is a non-Pakistani, the child is endorsed on father’s passport. The requirements for endorsement of children on either parent’s passports are given below.

Attestation of Documents
The Consular Section attests all documents, either issued from Pakistan or any other country issued to a Pakistan national. The documents issued from Pakistan are to be first attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its offices in either Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar or Quetta. Documents issued from any country other than Pakistan are to be attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country. The documents would then be counter attested by this Consulate. The documents in origin along with its photocopy and a copy of National Identity Card and Iqama is also to be presented at the time of attestation.

Emergency Passports
One page Emergency Passports are also issued to Pakistani nationals to facilitate their repatriation. This passport is issued only in case of emergency


Consular teams undertake visits to different cities of the Western Region (Abha, Al-Baha, Bisha, Jizan, Madina Munawwarah, Najran, Taif and Yanbu) to provide consular services to the community residing in the area.

The requirements for the issuance/renewal of passports are given below.

Documents required for the various consular services
New Passport

  • Application on prescribed form ‘A’
  • Passport in original along with photocopy of the first two pages.
  • Photocopy of either CNIC or NICOP
  • Four photographs with light blue background with forward looking face and both ears clearly visible and eyes open.
  • If CNIC/NICOP has not been previously acquired an application for the same is to be made in the adjacent NADRA Office and copy of the application received is to be attached with the passport form. In such cases, one year validity passports are issued. After receiving CNIC/NICOP the same restricted passport is revalidated free of cost for the remaining period of four years.

Lost Passport

  • Application on prescribed form ‘A’
  • Letter from the Sponsor
  • Newspaper advertisement
  • Police Report
  • Report from Jawazat
  • Photocopy of the lost passport
  • Photocopy of CNIC or NICOP
  • Photocopy of Iqama
  • Four photographs with light blue background

Endorsement of a new born (Iqama holders only)

  • Application on prescribed form ‘C’
  • Birth certificate (Shahada Milad) issued by the Local Ministry of Health (Ahwal-e-Madnia)
  • English translation of the birth certificate
  • Two photographs of the child with light blue background.
  • Photocopy of receipt of application submitted to NADRA Office for registration of the child

CNIC:         Computerized National Identity Card
NICOP:       National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis
